So many people ask me if I have tons and tons of photos of my boys. When they were younger (and more compliant, lol) the answer was YES! Now that they are a little bit older, they have little personalities and opinions of their own. When I ask to take pictures of them, they will usually tell me NOOOO!!! I let them get away with not wanting to take pictures throughout the year, EXCEPT for Christmas time. It is my one time of the year to show off everything wonderful about my handsome little men to family and friends. 

For this particular shoot, I had given them a warning a few days in advance- time to prep themselves. As usual though, the day of the shoot, they threw their typical fits about not wanting to get their pictures done. I reminded them how important these were to me. I also bribed them with playing in the field when they were finished- whoop whoop! I am not usually one for themed sessions with lots of props. I like simple, timeless photos, that feature the beauty of the people in the photos, rather than the things in the photos. But, I wanted to do something different this year. Something that showed THEM in their true, natural environment, without being to cheese ball.

Then it came to me. BASEBALL. Baseball is life for these two. I bought some very simple baseball raglan tees, through my favorite online shopping site, Zulily, and paired them with some Chucks, and they were ready to go! Both boys were comfortable and in their element, so they were happy to go and cooperate! These are by far my favorite photos of my own boys. These are memories that I can always go back to. These photos have my heart.
